FMC Agricultural Solutions announced this Tuesday (11.17) the launch of Authority fungicide for corn crop. The product is focused on the control of cercosporiosis, a disease with high destructive potential that caused intense leaf spot and generated significant losses to Brazilian agriculture. According to the manufacturer, Authority “assures the full development without slowing the plants metabolism”.

“With 1% of the severity, the cercosporiosis can cause a reduction from 50 to 86 kg/ha with damages of up 60% of the production. Authority comes with the mission of contributing to prevent this disease and assuring higher yields on crops because it relies on a high systemicity presented in the current market, which means a smaller dependency on high doses of mineral oil, besides smaller factors of phyto. Its balanced formulation with active ingredients, with highly systemical triazole and high absorption strobilurin, without a juvenoid effect, guaranteeing the full development without slowing the plants metabolism,” highlights the director of innovation and technology at FMC, Reginaldo Sene.

The director highlights that the fungicide was evaluated by the technical team and researchers in the past five years in over 300 corn test areas with positive results confirmed by the expectation of farmers in diverse situations of the field in all over the country and approved also by research companies. “An average increase of 25 bags per hectare, comparing to untreated areas,” Sene added.

The product has indication of application between the stages of V6 until pre-bolting seeking greater return of dose. The FMC director highlights the importance of investments on solutions: “We want to contribute to productivity with sustainability and quality, guaranteeing convenience and ease of applications in the field”.
