- Market Status
Global demand for chlorpyrifos will increase up by annual growth of 10%. By 2015, demand for chlorpyrifos will exceed 200,000 tonnes. At that time, China’s production capacity and output is predicted to reach 200,000 tonnes and 170, 000 tonnes, accounting for over 85% of global capacity and output, respectively.

Total capacity of the 7 companies reached 93,000 tonnes, accounting for 78% of total national capacity; and the output is about 50,000 tonnes.

- Price Trend
In 2012, the price of technical chlorpyrifos fluctuated greatly. From the beginning of the year, the price stated to go up and rose to high of some Yuan 43,000~44,000/ton ,and come down to the lowest of some Yuan 36,400/ton in October, with a 1.89% year-on-year drop.

• In next three years, over 90% of the chlorpyrifos in China will adopt the tetrachloropyridine based new technology, which is of more safet, environmental-friendly, clean and continuous production..
