Global sales of paraquat grew by 9.4% to $640 million in 2011. China became the largest paraquat producer and consumer, with capacity and output of 56,000 tonnes and 40,000 tonnes, accounting for both 80% of global level, respectively.

The total capacity of these 5 companies is 43,000 tonnes, accounting for 77% of total national level.

- Price Trend
Price of technical paraquat kept increasing in the first ten months of 2012 and reached Yuan 47,000/ ton ( on 100% basis)  in October.
