2012 China’s Major Pesticides Varieties Tracking - imidacloprid

Imidacloprid

- Market Status
Global imidacloprid demand is about 18,000 ～20,000 tonnes. Bayer is the largest producer with the output of 5,000～6,000 tonnes. China’s imidacloprid output is about 12,000～14,000 tonnes/year, of which, two thirds for export and some 4,000 tonnes for domestic market.

Combined capacity of the six companies reaches 14,000 tonnes, accounting for 56% of total national level. China’s output and export volume is about 12,000 tonnes and 8,000 tonnes, respectively.

- Price Trend
Technical Imidacloprid price kept rising since the start of 2012. The price grew up to the highest of some Yuan 155,000/ton from Yuan 127,000, and now keep at  around Yuan 150,000/ton.
