Plant Health Care (PHC) presented its biochemical fungicide Saori during the 28th Summer Technology Show. The event is being held in the Brazilian state of Paraná by Fundação ABC, with special coverage by AgroPages.
According to the manufacturer, Saori is "the first and only seed treatment fungicide recommended for foliar disease control." Plant Health Care states that the product allows farmers to "maintain plant health from planting to harvest, with significant productivity gains."
The multinational company, which specializes in biostimulant and biodefensive protein technologies, highlights that with Saori's use, better control of soybean foliar diseases delivers gains of approximately R$400.00/h to R$600.00/h. This represents a six-fold return on investment while reducing agrochemical use in phytosanitary management.
Plant Health Care explains that Saori is another of its "innovative peptide-based solutions for plant protection." As a result of more than a decade of research and development, PHC's PREtec (Plant Response Elicitor Technology) technologies have the power to "protect crops more efficiently, bringing peace of mind and profitability to farmers," according to PHC.
Regarding Saori's results, the manufacturer claims the product can "delay disease progression, ensuring less leaf drop and better health of lower leaves." Additionally, it provides "better effectiveness of foliar programs in disease management and improved grain filling, generating higher productivity."
Besides Saori, the multinational demonstrated the biological nematicide TEIKKO at the 28th Summer Technology Show. Also formulated with PHC peptides, the product is described as offering "superior control compared to other biological products, inhibiting nematode development in roots and reducing their soil population."
"More and better roots provide improved water and nutrient absorption, resulting in higher yield and harvest quality. The promoted activation is maintained throughout the cycle, and the protein leaves no residue in soil, water, or the environment," states Plant Health Care.
According to the Brazilian Society of Nematology, in the next 10 years, losses due to parasites could reach R$870 billion, equivalent to one lost harvest every decade. Controlling nematodes responsibly, without affecting soil microbiota, is fundamental for establishing sustainable agriculture.
"TEIKKO stimulates plant defense and naturally protects the plant, thus increasing its productivity, compatible with any treatment adoption. Trials conducted in the last three harvests at different research stations proved nematode infestation reduction as effective as or superior to that provided by biological nematicides used as standard, generating up to 6.4 bags/ha of average productivity increase," concludes PHC.
Promoted by Fundação ABC, an expert in practical knowledge for generating agronomic solutions in plant protection, the 28th Summer Technology Show brings together technical and practical learning for farmers to visualize the 24/25 soybean harvest scenario and learn about solutions to help mitigate productivity obstacles.
