Saddler 350 SC (thiodicarb) was launched last week in Brazil, which is an insecticide and nematicide product for the control of initial plagues in the crops of corn and soybean, among others.

According to the market, the tests have shown its effectiveness against a wide spectrum of masticators, such as foliar and soil caterpillars, and nematodes.

The manager of insecticides and fungicides of Nufarm, agronomist Murilo Borges affirmed that Saddler acts over the lesser corn stalk borer and Phyllophaga on soybeans. “The molecule of Saddler 350 SC is already recognized as a technological reference for the initial control of the fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda),” he added.

According to Borges, the new insecticide contributes for the good initial development of crops of corn and soybeans and helps in the maintenance of the plants’ stands: “The product does not interfere with the germination of seeds and conventional seedlings or Bt, and presents a prolonged residual effect.”

The Saddler 350 SC (registered by Rotam) is the first nematicide in the Nufarm portfolio for seed treatment, a sector that the Australian company announced as strategic in Brazil. In this sense, Maestro FS and Insice FS insecticides were launched recently, which composes the portfolio that includes yet the products Adage 350 FS, Apron RFC and Carbomax 500.

“Nufarm provides services and innovative services for seed treatment within the properties (On Farm) and for the so-called industrial plan, practices adopted with success in crops, such as soybeans, corn and other,” concluded Borges.
