The Chinese Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture (ICAMA) has recently approved the LS registration for Dow’s insecticide Sulfoxaflor 95.5% TC for a year, which was registered in China for the first time.

Sulfoxaflor belongs to a novel chemical class called sulfoximines invented by Dow AgroSciences and can be absorbed into plants through leaves, stems and roots. It offers extremely effective and rapid control of trigonotylus ruficornis, aphids, whiteflies and planthoppersand with low toxicity on non-target arthropods. Sulfoxaflor has unique attributes compared with other sap-feeding insecticides, providing a significant new tool for growers for many years to come.

Dow AgroSciences has also received the registration of two Sulfoxaflor formulations. One is sulfoxaflor AS (50%) for cotton Mirid bugs and bemisia tabaci, the other is sulfoxaflor SC (22%) against rice planthoppers and cucumber bemisia tabaci. Both registrations are valid for one year.
