The US market imports 4,000-5,000 tons of paraquat each year, accounting for nearly 10% of China's total paraquat exports. Paraquat continues to play a major role as a desiccant during harvest in the United States. This exemption has eased the pesticide cost burden of American farmers to a certain extent.
The ex-factory price of 42% paraquat TC has risen from around 14,000 yuan in April 2021 to around 25,000 yuan in November 2021, and is now stable at around 23,000 yuan.
