The ISO Technical Committee on Common Names for Pesticides has provisionally approved five new active ingredients common names in recent months, according to the Compendium of Pesticide Common Names (CPCN). They are tiafenacil, momfluorothrin, mandestrobin, fenquinotrione and cyclaniliprole. Most of them are developed by Japanese companies.
Tiafenacil is a uracil herbicide from South Korean agrochemical company Dongbu Hannong, being developed under the code DCC-3825.
Sumitomo Chemical has received provisional ISO approval for mandestrobin and momfluorothrin. Mandestrobin is a strobilurin fungicide with the development code, S-2200. Momfluorothrin is a pyrethroid ester insecticide being developed under the code, S-1563.
Fenquinotrione from Kumiai Chemical Industry is a benzoylcyclohexanedione herbicide with development codes KIH-3653 and KUH-110.
Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha has gained provisional ISO approval for cyclaniliprole, which is a diamide insecticide being developed under the code IKI-3106.
