•  Gowan has reached an agreement with EcoFlora to create a joint venture called EcoFlora AGRO to develop, register and market EcoFlora’s current unique plant extract based portfolio and their robust product pipeline.

•  Gowan reached an agreement with SDS Biotech K.K. to develop, register and exclusively sell benzobicyclon, for the US rice market.

•  Golden Acres Genetics purchased Syngenta Seeds' sorghum seed inventory.

•  GrassRoots Biotechnology and Monsanto extended their research collaboration on the design and development of promoters that enable crops to express trait genes that enhance and protect yield.

•  GCIS Chile acquired a majority share in Agro Technology, S.A. (AGT) located in Santiago, Chile.

•  Chinese agrochemical company Chongqing Huapont Pharmaceutcial and Brazilian company CCAB AGRO S.A.have entered into an agreement that Huapont will make an equity investment of $20 million in CCAB to gain 7.5% of CCAB shares.

•  INCOTEC Group BV and Plant Health Care signed a nonexclusive, multi-year agreement to develop and market Plant Health Care’s Myconate in combination with INCOTEC’s proprietary seed treatment packages.

•  INCOTEC has signed a Letter Of Intent to purchase seed technology company AgriCoat.

•  Indian agrochemical firm Insecticides India acquired the insecticide Monocil brand from Nocil.

•  Isagro S.p.A. and Chemtura AgroSolutions™ finalized a joint venture creating a strategic alliance.

•  Kline & Company acquired the business of Prochaska & Company, a strategic advisor to companies in the agricultural, ag bio-tech, and specialty horticultural markets.

•  Lonza signed agreement with Pasteuria Bioscience to produce biological nematicide Pasteuria spores in Lonza’s biochemical plant in Kouřim, Czech Republic.

•  Makhteshim Agan and Isagro reached an agreement for the exclusive license of the active ingredient benalaxyl-M (marketed as kiralaxyl) for seed dressing applications globally.

•  Makhteshim Agan Industries Ltd. will acquire DuPont Crop Protection’s global non-mixture diuron herbicides business.

•  Mitsui Chemicals Agro reached an agreement on business and capital tie-up with International. Sotus agreed to issue 10% of its outstanding shares to Mitsui Chemicals Agro.

•  Mitsui Chemicals Agro acquired an 11.89% share of Brazilian agrochemical company Iharabras.

•  Monsanto acquired Beeologics, which researches and develops biological tools to provide targeted control of pests and diseases.

•  Monsanto acquired Divergence, Inc., a privately-held St. Louis-based biotechnology research and development company.

•  Nufarm Americas is forming a strategic alliance in Mexico with Sumitomo Chemical Company’s affiliate Valent de Mexico (VdM) to distribute crop protection products.

•  Nufarm completed the acquisition of Seeds 2000, Inc., based in USA.

•  Omex Agriculture and Gowan Comerçio have renewed their mutual agreement to tank-mix and apply liquid suspension fertilisers with the grass-weed herbicide Avadex® Excel 15G (tri-allate).

•  Otsuka AgriTechno acquired rice herbicide benfuresate from Bayer CropScience.

Pasteuria Bioscience has announced that it has further strengthened its relationship with Syngenta by entering into a licensing and distribution agreement for its existing and future turf grass products.

•  ScottsMiracle-Gro Company and Marrone Bio Innovations announced an exclusive research and development agreement designed to provide consumers new natural plant protection products.

•  SGS acquired AG Research Associates LLC (ARA) in Georgia, USA.

•  The SIS Group and the US-based Terminix announced a joint venture to form a pest control services company, subject to government approvals.

•  Sumitomo Chemical and Hodogaya Chemical agreed to separate their joint venture Nihon Green and Garden, or Nihon G&G, which makes and sells pesticides and related products for non-farming uses, into two companies using a stock-split arrangement.

•  Sumitomo Chemical agreed with LG Life Sciences Ltd. (LGLS) of South Korea to acquire their ethaboxam fungicide business.

•  Sumitomo Chemical raised its stake to 100-per cent, in its Italian distribution affiliate Isagro Italia S.r.l., making it a wholly-owned subsidiary.

•  Sursem, an independent Argentinian seed company, formalized the access to Bt Roundup Ready® 2 technology for its soybean varieties, by signing an agreement with Monsanto.

•  Syngenta and Bayer CropScience have announced a “co-development agreement” on a new HPPD herbicide tolerant trait for soybeans.

•  Syngenta Crop Protection AG signed a major Distribution Agreement with Marrone Bio Innovations to exclusively distribute MBI’s award winning biofungicide Regalia in specialty crop markets throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

•  Syngenta partnered with Pasteuria Bioscience to develop bio-nematicide products.

•  Tessenderlo Kerley reached an agreement to acquire the global assets of the Purfresh crop protection sun screen business and the Purshade product line.

•  United Phosphorus Limited acquired a 51% stake in DVA Agro Do Brasil from DVA Group, Germany and other shareholders.

•  United Phosphorus acquired 50% stake in Spicam Isagro Brasil.

•  Valent Canada Inc. announced that Nufarm Agriculture Inc. will become the sales agent of record for Valtera™ Herbicide.

•  Valent BioSciences signed an exclusive agreement with Nippon Soda for the supply and distribution of tebufenozide for the North American forestry markets.

•  Vilmorin and KWS have decided to join their efforts in developing GM corn traits. Both parties have reached agreement to organize this research collaboration in a 50/50 joint venture company, subject to approval by the antitrust authorities.

•  Wilbur-Ellis Company reached a long-term agreement with Bayer CropScience LP to be the exclusive marketer of propoxycarbazone-sodium for certain Ag markets.
