Dow AgroSciences and Gowan announced a new development and marketing license agreement that will allow Gowan to license the novel active fungicide meptyldinocap. Under the agreement Gowan will develop the fungicide meptyldinocap active for use in fruits and vines in the U.S. and Canada.
"Meptyldinocap represents a new mode of action and solution to the problems of powdery mildew in grapes and a number of fruit and vegetable crops,” said David Hindes, global business leader, fungicides for Dow AgroSciences. “The decision to license the development to Gowan means that American and Canadian growers will have the chance to use the active in the future.”
"Gowan is pleased to complete this licensing arrangement with Dow AgroSciences. The agreement will enable Gowan to fully develop and market meptyldinocap for the U.S. and Canadian markets and provide growers with a new, unique and highly effective tool for powdery mildew management,” said Oakford Bain, pre-commercial development manager for Gowan Company.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
