Two leading companies in the agricultural input sector have announced a partnership in Argentina that will provide producers with access to "high-quality genetic seeds, along with comprehensive distribution and consulting services for the upcoming campaign."

The announcement was made at the Expoagro 2025 fair, held in Buenos Aires, and AgroPages covered it in special detail.

The exclusive marketing and representation agreement for Argentina involves SPS, a seed company aiming to "offer the best balance between seed quality and possibilities for producers, for corn and sunflower hybrids," and Nutrien Ag Solutions, a company celebrating 30 years in the region providing "comprehensive solutions for agriculture."

The agreement was signed at the SPS booth by Germán Glineur, General Manager for Southern Latin America at Nutrien, and Ignacio Beltramino, Director of the Seed Business Unit at Syngenta for Southern Latin America. Also present at the signing ceremony were Justin Wolfe, Global Head of Seeds at Syngenta; Noelia Cochón, Director of Marketing and Corporate Affairs at Nutrien; and Mariano Miceli, Sales Manager at SPS.

With its strong presence in the country, especially in the central region, Nutrien will enable SPS's portfolio to reach over 8,000 producers. Additionally, it will be supported by more than 100 professionals who are part of its technical advisory team, accompanying producers throughout the entire cultivation cycle.

"We are proud to add SPS seeds to our offering, which stand out for their excellent adaptability and biotechnology. In this new phase of the company, we are strengthening our comprehensive portfolio of genetics, nutrition, crop protection, and services, allowing us to offer our customers more competitive solutions," commented Glineur, referring to Nutrien's current situation.

Beltramino added, "At Syngenta, we aim to offer our products to the largest number of producers, and we have found an ideal partner in Nutrien to achieve this goal."

In the corn segment, SPS offers hybrids that provide quality, stability, and Viptera3 technology, with excellent results in test networks across the country.

In 2022, SPS relaunched its corn crop 2743 VIPTERA3 (MR 123), a hybrid with broad adaptability to various regions and planting dates, high yield potential, and Agrisure VIPTERA3 biotechnology for lepidopteran control. Additionally, it offers SPS 2615 VIPTERA3 (MR 122), the smallest in its portfolio, and 2724 TG CL, designed for refuge planting. Recently, the sunflower SPS 3125 CL was added to their offering.

"Since its relaunch in 2022, our SPS brand has been providing solutions to producers through the performance and adaptability of our hybrids, as our slogan 'Courage to Grow' states. At SPS, we seek to expand the possibilities for each producer with hybrids prepared to perform at their best. This agreement aligns with this goal: to reach the largest number of producers," stated Mariano Miceli, Sales Manager at SPS.

"This alliance reflects the commitment of both companies to the development of the sector, offering a comprehensive value proposition that meets the current needs of Argentine producers and the agricultural sector," he said in conclusion.
