Syngenta has announced the launch of the biological insecticide NETURE, designed to assist farmers in optimizing the management of insects that affect the productivity of soybean and corn crops. According to the manufacturer, the bioproduct stands out for its "high efficiency and residual control of corn leafhopper and other hard-to-manage sap-sucking pests, such as stink bugs, whiteflies, and sugarcane leafhopper."
The insecticide is developed from the bacteria Pseudomonas chlororaphis and Pseudomonas fluorescens and features multiple modes of action, including direct contact with the target, action on the pest's digestive and nervous systems after ingestion, as well as promoting repellency, growth, vigor, and increased plant tolerance to various types of stress.
Among NETURE™'s distinguishing features, Syngenta highlights its versatility and convenience, as it does not require refrigerated storage and is compatible with the main chemical pesticide formulations. This flexibility enables its application throughout the entire crop cycle, offering a practical and efficient solution to meet producers' demands.
"NETURE™ is set to redefine the standard for biological control in soybeans and corn, the two most important crops in Brazilian agriculture. Effective from the first application, it meets the needs of farmers who increasingly feel the evolution of management efficiency coming from the combination of chemical and biological solutions, which enhance the sustainability and profitability of their fields. The product's rapid action and compatibility with chemical pesticides represent significant advances in managing hard-to-control pests," says Rafael P. Oliveira, Marketing Manager for Biologicals and Seedcare at Syngenta.
Biologicals Highlighted at Expodireto 2025
Biological products were one of the major highlights for Syngenta at the Expodireto 2025 fair, which received special coverage from AgroPages in southern Brazil. Launched last year, the Syngenta Biologicals brand was present at the event with the aim of "expanding our efforts towards increasingly profitable, sustainable, and effective agriculture."
In this vein, Syngenta has been investing in biological solutions such as MEGAFOL® - a bioactivator based on plant extracts and algae that stands out for its triple action: mitigation of abiotic stresses, acceleration of plant recovery, and activation of metabolism for better vegetative development. The solution is particularly effective during adverse periods when crops face situations such as water deficit, flooding, temperature fluctuations, cloudiness, salinity, and chemical stress (phytotoxicity).
Demonstrating its expertise in integrated solutions for seed treatment (ST), Syngenta highlights the technologies AVICTA COMPLETO®, focused on soybeans, and CRUISER® ADVANCED, focused on corn, along with the biological seed treatment ARVATICO®, for soybeans, corn, and cotton. Additionally, there is RIZOLIQ® LLI, an inoculant for biological nitrogen fixation in soybeans, which allows for seed treatment 60 days in advance alongside the latest generation of fungicides and insecticides.
"Syngenta is committed to driving agricultural prosperity through the development of products aligned with our sustainability agenda. With these launches, we expand our portfolio of biological innovations, offering robust solutions for producers to face the challenges of the field, including the complexities caused by pests and diseases affecting soybeans, corn, and other crops," concludes Oliveira.
