On 1 December, Martijn Eggink joined the Rijk Zwaan board of directors, succeeding Kees Reinink. Martijn Eggink is now one of the three members of the fruit and vegetable breeding company’s board, along with Ben Tax and Marco van Leeuwen.
″Kees Reinink has made a hugely enthusiastic and professional contribution to our company over the past 30 years,″ says Ben Tax, Rijk Zwaan board member. ″He started as Breeding Manager Lettuce in 1994 and joined the board in 2000. We have really enjoyed working with him, and we were always able to reach unanimous agreement on all management decisions.″

″As a family-owned business, we have a long-term focus. We are happy that Martijn Eggink, who has been with our company for almost 18 years in various research and breeding-related roles, is joining the board. Martijn has had a thorough preparation period, and we are very much looking forward to working together with him from now on.″
