Banner-reverb-mobile.pngSyngenta Biologicals has exclusively announced to AgroPages the launch of REVERB, a new microbiological fungicide that strengthens the company's biocontrol solutions portfolio.

The new bioinput features three bacteria as active ingredients: Bacillus subtilis, isolate CNPSo 2720; Bacillus velezensis, isolate CNPSo 3602; and Bacillus pumilus, isolate CNPSo 3203.

According to the manufacturer, the new product is a "fundamental partner in disease management for soybeans, one of the most important crops in Brazil and worldwide."

Syngenta do Brasil also stated that, with the increase in extreme weather events and disease resistance, it is "crucial for farmers to have access to innovations that not only protect their crops but also promote sustainable agricultural practices. The new product meets this need, offering an effective alternative that aligns with responsible production goals."

syngenta_reverb.jpgThe multinational explained that REVERB® was developed from a "synergistic combination of three complementary bacteria." As a result, the microbiological fungicide "enhanced the efficacy of chemical fungicides in early applications, offering an efficient and practical solution for controlling major foliar diseases in soybeans and various other crops, resulting in higher productivity."

Furthermore, Syngenta added that bioinput acts against straw pathogens and is an efficient tool in resistance management. With its formulation consisting of 100% endospores, the product provides high compatibility with chemical pesticides and long storage durability without requiring refrigeration.

The manufacturer also pointed out that REVERB has a broad control spectrum and a long shelf life without the need for refrigeration.

Igor Lyra.jpg"Syngenta is committed to driving agricultural prosperity through the development of products guided by our sustainability agenda. REVERB® is the ideal biological fungicide for farmers seeking to control some of the main soybean diseases, promoting plant growth and vigor, and consequently, higher productivity," Igor Lyra, LATAM Head of Biologicals and Seedcare at Syngenta, said in conclusion.
