Anticipating trends for agribusiness and seeking to strengthen a regenerative, profitable, sustainable, and effective agriculture, Syngenta Crop Protection announces the creation of the Syngenta Biologicals and Seedcare Business Unit - a new front of action that brings together the company's expertise in biologicals and seed treatment. The goal is to continue expanding the company's performance in both markets in an increasingly structured way, building innovative solutions to enhance the service to Brazilian farmers. The official announcement was made on April 3 at an event titled ' Day One of Syngenta Biologicals', which was part of the company's Commercial Kick Off.

"The creation of Syngenta Biologicals expands our potential to accelerate the development of biological innovations, both above ground, with foliar application technologies, and below ground, with seed treatment solutions," highlights Igor Lyra, LATAM Head of Syngenta Biologicals and Seedcare.

"Given the major challenges of Brazilian tropical agriculture, our innovative crop protection portfolio, combined with biological solutions, offers excellent management options to support agricultural prosperity, as well as being part of an agenda guided by sustainability," adds Igor.

In recent years, Syngenta has built a robust global biological products business. This journey has led the company to expand the offer of disruptive products, such as Rizoliq UHC® Innovation, the first long-lasting liquid inoculant for soybean seed treatment in the Brazilian market, launched during the Day One event.

Rizoliq UHC® Innovation stands out for its productivity and sustainability.

The new formulation, based on the inoculated bacterium Brodyrhizobium SPP, has a completely liquid composition, which ensures maximum efficiency of biological nitrogen fixation in soybean seeds and plants, and enables industrial seed treatment (chemical and biological), allowing a 90-day pre-inoculation treatment period.

During field tests, this mode of action was essential for plant growth and development, increasing productivity by around 122 kg per hectare. Compatible with chemical and biopesticides, Rizoliq UHC® Innovation also stands out for its low dosage - the lowest on the market, with only 2 ml/Kg - and the new industrial process derived from the pharmaceutical industry.
