"The focus of CES is not agtech, but after discovering DeepAgro, they realized the enormous potential of this generative AI field," the Argentinians emphasized.

According to them, DeepAgro aims to position itself globally as the "leading company in artificial intelligence applied to agriculture."

The creators explained that the SprAI reduced the use of agrochemicals by 70% and environmental impact by 45%.

This is because the device enables selective application of the herbicide only on weeds without wasting the pesticide in unnecessary areas of the crop.

According to the company's estimates, using their AI saves between US$20 and $40 per hectare.

Juan Manuel Baruffaldi.jpeg″AI is revolutionizing all industries, and agriculture is not immune to this revolution. The global AI in Agriculture market is expected to grow to $4 billion by 2026, with a CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of 25.5%," said Juan Manuel Baruffaldi, CEO of DeepAgro.

According to him, units are already being sold in markets such as Argentina and Uruguay, with plans to expand to the neighboring Brazilian market in the coming months.

"We already have data from Brazil that is necessary to adapt the SprAI to the conditions there," they revealed.

At the same time, they envisioned the possibility of positioning themselves in the United States in the short term.

According to estimates, over $37 billion is allocated annually for weed control, and DeepAgro aims to "significantly reduce this volume, reinventing the spraying industry and rethinking the agrochemical market."

At the end of 2023, the founders secured funding of $2 million.

"This new round of investments will allow us to show the world what is being done in Argentina in terms of AI applied to agriculture," the founders of DeepAgro said in conclusion.
