The Los Grobo Group, in partnership with Barenbrug Argentina, has inaugurated a new state-of-the-art professional station for seed treatment (ST).
The goal is to reach 100,000 processed sacks of wheat and soybeans annually, ensuring each processed seed has the exact dosage of each product. At this new plant, BarMax Superpremium will be used for soybean seeds, which co-formulates the INTA E-109 strain of Bradyrhizobium japonicum, with strains of Rhizobium selected by Barenbrug. ST provides greater adaptation to environments, improving nodulation and nitrogen fixation capacity.
In addition to these two bacteria, Azospirillum brasilense and Pseudomonas fluorescens are also co-formulated, which enhance plants from the seeds, with various mechanisms for stimulating growth. The microorganisms form an "innovative" Microbial Consortium, said Los Grobo, which operates at the root level, "improving the development and agronomic response of soybeans."
This treatment is complemented by a professional protector that allows pre-inoculation of the seeds. For wheat, BarBioTrichoderma is incorporated, along with Azospirillum brasilense and Pseudomonas fluorescens.
As part of this partnership, approximately 2 million dollars were invested, with Barenbrug taking charge of the state-of-the-art seed treatment machine. At the same time, the Los Grobo Group provided the facilities and workers. Both companies are constantly seeking innovative solutions to develop biological, sustainable products with added value for the producer.
Los Grobo produces, multiplies, commercializes, and distributes over 500,000 sacks yearly of soybean, wheat, barley, corn, sunflower, and sorghum seeds (400,000 sacks of autogamous seeds and 100,000 hybrids). Two thousand hectares of wheat and 5,000 hectares of soybeans are planted to multiply this volume. To process this production, it has two of its own factories and four third-party factories.
In these six factories, the Group provides Professional Seed Treatment Services. It uses in each one the "best combination of state-of-the-art biological products," including Bradyrhizobium, Trichodermas, Pseudomonas, Bacillus, Azospirillum, and other biostimulants.
