Adjust.pngStoller announced the launch of four new technologies to diversify its adjuvant solutions and increase the efficiency of agricultural input spraying in crops. According to the manufacturer, on average, 25% of total production cost is application-related, and new technologies can help overcome operational issues and even financial losses.

Recently acquired by Corteva Agriscience, Stoller claims to have intensified its research and development (R&D) in the adjuvant segment. The outcome was the creation of the AdjuSt Program, a new company concept comprising four new adjuvant technologies that can be used together or individually. According to Stoller, the solutions have various formulations for preparing the syrup and specific liquid volume concentrations for aerial and ground spraying.

Jorge Tame.jpeg″We created a specialist team to work in this market, which is growing year-after-year and can be integrated with the company's other solutions. Furthermore, the development of new products was carried out in line with Stoller standards, which ensures safety and efficiency in the use of these new technologies,″ said Jorge Tame, Strategic Marketing Manager at Stoller.

In total, there are four new solutions. The first is AdjuSt Silver NT, which is a multifunctional drift reducer, adhesive spreader and humectant that is mostly used in applications with insecticides and fungicides, and is recommended for crops such as soybeans, corn, cotton, coffee and cane.

AdjuSt Herb is a drift and foam reducer that was developed for applications with herbicides, especially when there is a greater tendency for foam to form when preparing the mixture. It offers the considerable advantage of practically eliminating foam.

AdjuSt Gold also reduces drift and is an adhesive and humectant spreader, similar to Silver but with a greater penetration capacity. It is recommended for spraying at a low liquid volume, such as aerial applications. Finally, AdjuSt Platinum makes the spray mixture compatible, helping with mixing, mitigating compatibility problems, and ensuring the stability and homogeneity of the spray mix.

Luis-Andre-Tobias-Coordenador-de-Novos-Negocios-da-Stoller..jpg″Customized solutions are important, as spraying is heavily influenced by the environment. Relative air humidity, temperature, wind and even the quality of water used in the process are factors that need attention, in addition to operational issues such as equipment maintenance and technical support itself,″ said Luis André Tobias, New Business Coordinator at Stoller.

In Brazil, the adjuvants market represents R$1.5 billion, with 81% of Brazilian farmers using a tool from this segment, according to research carried out by the consultancy company, Spark Smart Decisions, in 2022 (currently Kynetec). According to a report published by MarketsandMarkets, the global agricultural adjuvants market is expected to reach a value of US$4.7 billion by 2026, growing at a CAGR of 5.3% during the forecast period. Factors, such as growing demand for improved varieties, are driving the growth of the agricultural adjuvants market.

″It is worth emphasizing that a single adjuvant solution, in a standardized way, will not work at maximum efficiency because each application presents specific needs, which must be considered together with the crop development stages. The Stoller AdjuSt Program innovates precisely, because it offers solutions during the various phases of crops,″ Tobias said.
