Syngenta launches new soil health service INTERRA®Scan in Netherlands, Belgium

From August 1, Syngenta's new INTERRA®Scan service will be available to growers in the Netherlands and Belgium. INTERRA®Scan maps soil very accurately, enabling growers to make simple, better-informed decisions for a more targeted use of inputs, which means not only productivity gains but also more sustainable long-term soil health practices.

This innovative service maps the soil in high resolution for up to 27 layers of information. The strength of INTERRA®Scan lies in its ability to accurately visualize the texture, nutrient content and carbon content of the soil, allowing growers to optimize nutrition and carbon sequestration regardless of soil moisture, compaction, cover or growing conditions. The service, therefore, works effectively under a wide range of conditions.

Flemish farmer Johan de Dobbelaere, Head of Sales in Belgium, said, "On my farm, I have always looked for ways to maximize the health and productivity of my land while minimizing my ecological footprint. I am also proud to work for Syngenta, where we continue to innovate for more sustainable agriculture. I was lucky enough to be part of the INTERRA®Scan pilot. INTERRA®Scan allows me to closely monitor the condition of my fields so I can react quickly to changes and make proactive decisions. This service means less guesswork, more precision and higher productivity, while working sustainably."

INTERRA®Scan offers growers immediate economic value and is a potential long-term solution to reduce CO2 emissions and combat climate change through regenerative agricultural practices. The digital platform gives growers access to a uniquely detailed soil properties map and enables them to easily generate variable dose maps for their applications. With INTERRA®Scan, growers can make informed decisions about what to apply where and how much.

In the Netherlands, INTERRA®Scan will initially be offered through a limited number of distribution companies. In Belgium, growers can register directly for a scan. For more information, visit www.interrascan.nl or www.interrascan.be.
