Indigo Ag, an innovative leader and trusted partner in sustainable agriculture, has joined over 200 forward-thinking companies as the newest member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).

Uniquely leveraging science and technology, Indigo helps turn sustainability into value for farmers, agribusinesses, and corporations. The company’s integrated business platform of products and solutions maximizes farmer productivity and revenue, improves soil health, drives agricultural sustainability and helps corporations meet their climate commitments.

Indigo helps farmers improve productivity and sustainability through biological seed coatings that help plants thrive against a variety of stressors from the environment, diseases and pests, while helping boost soil health and plant fertility. The company’s emissions modeling and quantification processes are comprehensive and ensure a tangible environmental impact resulting from sustainable farming practices. This allows the company to offer a robust scope 3 program to help corporations measure and reduce emissions within their agricultural value chain, as well as the highest quality agricultural carbon credits available on the voluntary market today.

As a new member of WBCSD, Indigo will seek to accelerate progress toward a net-zero and nature-positive future and contribute to global efforts to address sustainability challenges in the agricultural sector.

Indigo will actively participate in key WBCSD working groups, including Food and Agriculture Pathway, Climate Action, and Nature Action, where it will collaborate with like-minded organizations seeking sustainable business solutions and shaping the sustainable future of the agriculture industry.

"We are delighted to welcome Indigo Ag as a new member of WBCSD. Indigo Ag is committed to fostering innovation and accelerating the transition to sustainable agriculture. By collaborating with other industry leaders, we will together play a key role in achieving a net-zero and nature-positive future and strive to create a world where 9+ billion people can live well, within planetary boundaries, by mid-century,″ said Peter Bakker President & CEO WBCSD.

″As a leader in sustainable agriculture, we are thrilled to be joining WBCSD,″ said Ron Hovsepian, president and CEO of Indigo Ag. ″Agriculture is a scalable climate solution with nearly unlimited potential that can have an immediate impact today. We look forward to collaborating with others in the WBCSD community to accelerate progress towards a net zero future.″
