AgroBrasília 2023 – Corteva launches LumiGEN for TSI

Corteva announced that its Pioneer and Brevant seed brands will now feature LumiGEN – the multinational's new global industrial seed treatment system (TSI) brand.

This platform, which encompasses products, technologies, and services aimed at TSI in corn, soy, and sorghum crops, was presented during the AgroBrasília 2023 fair, with special coverage by AgroPages.

According to Corteva, these are ″solutions that meet the different needs of producers, such as fungicides, insecticides, bionematicides, and biostimulants.″

In addition to inputs, the platform also offers the service pillar, where all recipe testing processes are conducted within Corteva's CSAT (Seed Treatment Technology Center).

ENLIST

In addition to the launch of LumiGEN, Corteva highlighted at its stand the seeds of the Enlist E3 system, which are tolerant to Enlist Colex-D (a new 2,4-D choline salt), glyphosate and glufosinate-ammonium.

Conkesta E3 seeds, in addition to tolerance to the three herbicides, also bring two Bt proteins (Cry1F and Cry1Ac) to manage the main caterpillars in the soybean crop.

″With the Enlist System, the producer has much more flexibility and can choose how and when to apply herbicides, from desiccation to post-emergence of Enlist soybeans, providing high weed control and high productivity,″ Corteva said.

At the event, it was also possible to learn more about the herbicide Enlist Colex-D, which offers ″excellent effectiveness in controlling weeds and reducing drift potential by up to 90%, ultra-low volatility and reducing odor.″

Responsible Application Program

Corteva's Good Agricultural Practices area was also present at the event, with the Responsible Application Program (PAR).

With PAR, the company offers content on suitable conditions for pesticide application: temperature, wind speed, relative air humidity, in addition to safety in handling and use, types and indications of application tips, and a class of drops according to the product to be applied (herbicides, insecticides or fungicides).

The company also presented the drift simulator to the public, illustrating how good agricultural practices and new technologies, such as the Enlist Colex-D herbicide, contribute to the reduction of drift.
