Norwegian company Yara announced the launch of the biostimulant YaraVita NRhizo, a product for treating leguminous seeds, such as soybeans and beans.

The novelty was presented during the BioAg World Congress (BAW 2023), an event in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), with special coverage by AgroPages.

YaraVita NRhizo combines nutrients with algae extract, enabling increased biological nitrogen fixation by the plant, improving response to stressful abiotic conditions, and increasing productivity.

A study developed by Yara has already indicated an average growth – depending on climate and soil conditions – of 3.3 bags of soybeans per hectare.

″Today, Brazilian rural producers are increasingly looking for formulations of inputs that combine the nutrition of their crops with a significant increase in productivity, profitability, and consequent sustainability,″ commented Guilherme Xavier, leader of the YaraVita line in Brazil.

To meet this demand, he added, ″We adopted a new strategy in Brazil, where we started directing our efforts towards offering different solutions with greater added value.″

″The YaraVita line is an example of this type of solution, and the NRhizo, developed with proprietary technology, is the first of 15 launches that we will launch this year to offer more and more premium solutions to the Brazilian rural producer″, comments Xavier.

The new product is part of the YaraVita fertilizer line, which has formulations for different crops, maximizing agronomic efficiency and application safety in addition to complementing soil fertilization.

In Brazil, where the company has one of the most modern fertilizer mixing units in the country and the first factory in Brazil for foliar fertilizers, the line of special fertilizers is produced in the Sumaré industrial center.

The complex is already preparing to start the national production of YaraVita NRhizo in the future.

YaraVita BIOTRAC

Visitors to the brand's stand at BioAg World Congress also got to know YaraVita BIOTRAC, which adds essential macro and micronutrients to cultures, in addition to seaweed extract, enabling proper nutrition and greater resistance in stress situations.

The product complements nitrogen, potassium, zinc, boron, and total organic carbon, stimulating growth and reproduction throughout the entire crop cycle, resulting in more resistant, vigorous fruits and leaves with better quality for the final consumer.

Studies conducted by Yara in partnership with AgroQuatro-S, an applied agronomic experimentation company, indicate that the foliar application of the product in sugarcane cultivation can increase the crop's resistance to climatic stress conditions, such as high temperatures and severe water deficit.

The experiments also prove that the fertilizer was responsible for increasing the productivity of 6 to 8 tons of stalks per hectare (TCH).
