Over more than two decades Battelle UK Limited (BUKL) has built a strong reputation as a leading contract research organisation that offers a full suite of innovative and sustainable solutions to clients in the worldwide crop protection sector. These solutions include formulation development, specialist testing studies for Environmental Fate, Crop and Animal Metabolism, Product Chemistry etc. and a comprehensive range of regulatory consultancy activities. With state-of-the-art laboratory facilities in two UK locations and some 120 staff in the UK, Europe and the USA, BUKL is an international, multi-lingual and fast-growing science and technology business, fully supported in its growth by its US parent organisation, Battelle.

To play a key role in driving this growth, BUKL is now looking for an ambitious sales professional with excellent experience of selling either product safety testing, regulatory consultancy services or crop protection products to clients in the European agricultural products sector:

Position:

Commercial Sales Manager, reporting to European Head of Sales.


Working Location:

Home office base in UK or continental Europe + regular visits to UK sites.


Job Scope:

To develop key business opportunities with existing and new customers who require regulatory/testing/formulation services for both conventional and bio-based products.


To win regulatory projects and laboratory studies from new clients who are at an early stage of launching their products in the European region.


Requirements:Masters degree in Agricultural Sciences, Biology, Chemistry or a related field
A business qualification and/or sales training advantageous
Fluent in English + fluency in other European languages highly desirable
Some 3-5 years sales experience in agrochemicals or with a major CRO
A sound understanding of the industry’s sales processes
Experience of building/successfully executing a key account sales strategy
Customer focussed with high professional standards
Skilled communicator of complex findings through a variety of media
