Syngenta launches advanced nematicide and fungicide in Argentina

In Argentina, Syngenta launched Victrato and Vaniva, two products with Tymirium technology that provide long-lasting protection against invisible but highly destructive nematodes and soil-borne diseases, especially the species, Fusarium.

These technologies ensure protection of plant roots from attack, translocation to the aerial parts of the plant, and resistance to early-season diseases. Easy to apply, it is also highly compatible with many other growth inputs.

Syngenta stressed that ″producers who use Tymirium technology also benefit from its ability to preserve biodiversity and soil health. A protected and stronger root system favors the structure and organic matter of the soil, improves efficiency in the use of nutrients, and increases the resistance of crops to biotic and abiotic stress, being highly selective.″

The technology took eight years of develop, with 5,000 field trials carried out by 450 scientists, involving 60 countries and 100 different crops.

The firm pointed out that Victrato is one of the most effective fungicides on the market. It reduces the pressure of Septoria at early stages, complementing the application of fungicides. It also ensures a clean crop throughout the cycle and higher yields, in addition to offering protection against Macrophomina phaseolina and against all species of phytoparasitic nematodes that affect soybean crops. It also has excellent compatibility with inoculants and insecticides.

In addition, the company said that ″it achieves greater performance through the control of diseases that previously had no solutions, such as Sudden Death Syndrome (SMR). This new product ensures a healthier crop throughout the cycle. Syngenta has a leading research and development (R&D) team for the development of molecules for seed treatment, and this new product makes it possible to generate a control standard for a particular problem, such as SMR.″

Vaniva is applied to fruit trees and vegetables. ″In the case of tomato, for example, it is an innovative solution, since it is the only product on the market that controls nematodes and Fusarium at the same time. Combined, these two problems greatly stifle performance.″
