Nufarm announced that Jason Mize has joined its US team as seed treatment lead. In this position, Mize will oversee the business development and strategy of Nufarm’s Seed Treatment Division. Nufarm, one of the world’s largest agricultural chemical and seed treatment manufacturers, has rapidly expanded its US seed treatment and agronomic technical support depth in recent months to provide customers with innovative crop protection solutions that answer critical challenges.
Prior to Nufarm, Mize served as seed treatment segment manager with Pinnacle Ag Distribution where he developed national seed treatment strategy and business for more than five years. Before Pinnacle, Mize had a 20-year career at Zeneca, then Syngenta, in various roles, including South Delta retail business representative and South Region seed care business manager. Jason was raised on a row crop farm in Louisiana, where he served as a cotton scout, and has extensive experience in sugar cane and rice markets. He holds a degree in agribusiness from Northeast Louisiana University.
“We’re excited that Jason will steer our US seed treatment growth, which will be significant in the months and years to come as Nufarm expands its manufacturing footprint and provides more innovative solutions like Trunemco,” said Brad Hyman, VP US Crop Protection.
Mize joins Nufarm in tandem with its acquisition of Trunemco™, a new patented nematode seed treatment solution that is proven to provide higher yields, less nematode damage and improved handling ease in soybeans, corn and cotton.
