On January 1, Chinese leading agrochemical company
Nanjing Red Sun announced that it would build a biochemical glufosinate and biochemical L-glufosinate industry chain project, of which the first phase will be an annual 20,000-ton biochemical glufosinate facility with auxiliaries involving an investment of 1.68 billion yuan. The construction of the facility is scheduled to begin at the end of March 2019.
Biochemical glufosinate and biochemical L-glufosinate are novel non-selective herbicide varieties. After a year-long hard try, Red Sun now has a good command over core technologies involving the production of biochemical glufosinate and biochemical L-glufosinate which are internationally advanced. Red Sun is now in possession of an innovative proprietary knowhow, which comprises exclusive advantages in terms of cost, technique, environmental compliance and safety, being expected to have great future market prospects.
The project will allow the company to utilize the rich resources of southwest China as a backup for the company’s main focus on its primary business, while completing the industry chain deployment of the company; this will further enhance the influence of the company in the market. Red Sun said it would seize the opportunities of the rapid development of novel sterilant herbicides represented by biochemical glufosinate and biochemical L-glufosinate, and will speed up the work process to get the project started, which will be an active and quick response to the market demand.
