The former Monsanto Company, now Bayer, has been recognized by the Dave Thomas Foundation as a 2018 Top 100 Adoption Friendly Workplace, ranking No. 69. Within the Foundation's Industry and Manufacturing category, Monsanto rank's No. 3 out of the five companies that are listed.
"We are thrilled to once again be named a Top 100 Adoption Friendly Workplace," said Christina Lawrence, president of Legacy Monsanto's Family Network, which supports and provides resources to employees whose families have been touched by fostering or adoption. "As Bayer and Monsanto continue to advance together as one company, it's comforting to know both have a legacy of providing benefits that help to create inclusive environments for all families."
The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is America's only non-profit charity dedicated to finding homes for children in foster care, which currently numbers more than 100,000. Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces are determined by an analysis of financial assistance and paid leave for families who adopt, based on surveys completed by employers.
