Rizobacter has succeeded in registering Rizoliq Garbanzo LLI — the first long-life inoculant for chickpea approved in the Argentinean market.
The company has pioneered the inoculant production of legumes with high technology and development, which guarantees up to 60 days of pre-treatment, changing the legume market, making the professional seed treatment efficient for this crop, and simplifying sowing.
The possibility of accessing an improved practice will be a positive result for farmers given that the morphology of the legume seed makes uniform application and distribution very complex. “Optimising the practice of seed treatment, would not only achieve a more efficient nodulation but would also assure greater seed health, which, in the case of Argentina, will be frequently changed by rabidity or smut,” sustained Agronomist Gabriel Carirni, a Marketing Manager of the line.
Rizoliq Garbanzo LLI guarantees, simplifies and noticeably improves the logistics after sowing and brings the possibility of pre-inoculating until 60 days before. “Historically, yet with professional treatment done with good machines, the producer only had to implant the seed without losing the effectiveness of inoculant,” stressed Gonzales Anta, Research, Development, and Technical Service Executive-Director at Rizobacter.
Currently in Argentina, 130,000 hectares of legumes are planted per year, but the dimension of the potential of this technology “is projected very frequently in these markets of high consumption such as Europe, Turkey and India where Rizobacter is operating and its quality has set a very important precedent to continue to amplify,” the company’s director said.
Rizobacter has expanded its foreign trade based on micro-biological agriculture in 40 years of its existence.
