Huifeng Agrochemical presents first Prochloraz-copper mixed seed treatment

The release of the product will further enrich the product line of Huifeng Agrochemical, which turns a new page in the seed coating product development of the company.
Seed treatment technology, which is one of the measures adopted to support the national pesticide-use zero growth strategy, has developed rapidly over the last years. However, crop areas using coated seeds have so far accounted for only less than half of the total crop area.
There is great potential for development and promotion of seed coating agents for application to paddy rice, vegetable and medicinal plant.
While strengthening the sales for export, Huifeng Agrochemical has enhanced its efforts for the sale of formulations in the Chinese domestic market. Based upon conventionally advantageous compounds, including Prochloraz, the company has endeavored to establish a product series centering on three compounds—Thidiazuron, Thiazole and Benziothiazolinone.
Pei Binbin, general manager of Shanghai Dibai Crop Protection, a distributor for Huifeng Agrochemical, says Huifeng Agrochemical has seized the present market opportunity of development of seed coating agents and has launched its first seed treatment Jiancang after repeated experiments and field trials.
Despite of the large seed coating varieties available on the market, Jiancang would be a very competitive product due to its advantages of unique formulation, ternary mixture, officially granted registration for wheat and peanut applications against diseases and pests.
Tai Shaojie, manager for the Planning Dept. of Huifeng Agrochemical, said Jiancang is made via world’s advanced production process, while using imported adjuvant, film-forming agent and dispersant agent, having been put under strict and specialized testing in accordance with international standards.
Furthermore, the Prochloraz-copper contained in the ternary mixture is a patented compound of Huifeng Agrochemical. Jiancang has three distinctive features: 1) safe and efficient, capable of enhancing bud ratio; 2) capacity for control of both disease and pest, being very effective against seed-borne and soil-borne disease and insect, as well as seedling pest; 3) enabling an even and robust growth of seedling, enhancing root growth, increasing stress resistance and yield.
Meanwhile, the product has a good efficacy against wheat black ear, aphid and root rot, as well as against peanut aphid, soil insect and root rot.
