Arysta LifeScience North America recently announced RANCONA® V 100 PRO seed treatment for soybeans. This formulation joins the RANCONA line of seed treatments in the United States, which includes RANCONA CREST, RANCONA SUMMIT and RANCONA V RTU.

Specificially, RANCONA V 100 PRO combines two fungicides that provide both contact and systemic activity against a broad spectrum of diseases:

•    Ipconazole controls Fusarium, Rhizoctonia, smuts, bunts and seed rot; and
•    Carboxin stimulates early seedling vigor and growth.

"With the combination of ipconazole and carboxin, RANCONA V 100 PRO provides an advanced seed treatment for improved seed emergence, healthier seedlings and higher yields," said Arturo Redes, Head of Marketing, North America Business Unit, Arysta LifeScience. "By helping to control a myriad of soybean diseases, this product is our best seedling protection against a wide array of fungal pathogens."

With approximately 90 million acres of soybeans in the United States - with the likelihood of growth to 94 million acres in 2017 - growers are looking for additional ways to protect their soybean investments that are both easy to use and proven.

"RANCONA V 100 PRO is a custom-blend formulation with little seed treater adhesion or residues, making for an easy cleanout with low dust rate," Redes added. "As an SDHI (succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor) seed treatment product, it offers soybean growers a broad-spectrum fungicide product for better vigor and emergence."

For seed treater convenience, RANCONA V 100 PRO also is registered for use on wheat.
