The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority(APVMA) has approved DuPont's fungicide Zorvec Enicade (100g/L oxathiapiprolin), for the control of downy mildews on brassicas, cucurbits, leafy andbulb vegetables, and poppies.

Oxathiapiprolin, comes from piperidinyl thiazole isoxazoline class of fungicides, is a new fungicide with novel mode of action which developed by DuPont. Syngenta has obtained a global license from DuPont to develop products containing oxathiapiprolin in 2013 and plans to market it under brand name Orondis™.

By now, DuPont has received registration approvals of oxathiapiprolin (trade-marked as Zorvec™) from USA, New Zealand and Canada. Syngenta’s oxathiapiprolin-based Orondis® fungicide has obtained registration from USA last September.
