Colombia imports 23,314 tons of pesticides in 2014

Colombia imported 23,314 tons of pesticides in 2014. The number is an increase compared with what was purchased in 2013, when Colombians acquired 22,700 tons from overseas.
The survey was made according to official data from the Department of Safety and Agricultural Inputs of the Colombian Agricultural Institute (ICA). The agency collected information from importers and commercial houses.
The company which imported the most was Proficol Andina 8343.8 tons, followed by Bayer CropScience (4512 tons), Arysta Lifescience Colombia S.A. (2234 tons), and Invesa S.A. with 2219 tons. More details can be seen in the table below.
