Australia Cancelled Registration of Fenamiphos Product from Pacific Agriscience

The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) has cancelled the registration and the associated label approvals of nematicide/insecticide product Pacific Fenamiphos 400 (400g/L fenamiphos) at the request of the approval holder, Pacific Agriscience Pty Ltd. The cancellation took effect from 1 December 2014.
The product manufactured prior to 1 December 2014 may be supplied at wholesale and retail level and used according to its label instructions until 1 December 2015.
Fenamiphos is a highly toxic pesticide which has been phased out from the market by many countries.
