Some Eighteen glyphosate herbicide manufacturers from China are taking part in environmental protection inspections, scrutinized by the Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP) of China. For the purpose of improved pollution control, the inspection includes compliance of waste water, waste solids and waste gas treatment, while focusing on waste water treatment.
In early July, MEP released the
first list of eco-friendly manufacturers. However, only four out of ten companies passed the scrutiny. Filing voluntarily for the second inspection, those 18 companies distributed in different provinces (e.g. Jinagsu, Zhejiang, Henan and Anhui) are actively preparing relevant materials for the forthcoming scrutiny. The names of those companies will be announced after the second scrutiny has been finalized.
