Rotam CropScience’s Regional Head of Latin America North, Alok Kumar has relocated to Bogota, Colombia; strengthening the team and furthering company growth in Latin America.
Previously based at the company’s Hong Kong headquarters, Alok joined the crop protection firm as Assistant Manager in 2005, in the Business Development department. In 2009 he was promoted to Manager then 3 years later became Head of Global Business Development. He has recently relocated in undertaking his current role as Regional Head of Latin America North operations, which includes responsibility for managing 18 Latin American countries.
“I will be working towards further aiding Rotam’s expansion in the region,” notes Alok, who envisages identifying new business opportunities in the area. “A key part of my role here will be focused on expanding the business through product positioning in key countries, and also by enhancing Rotam’s overall activity within this region.”
Annie Yang, Senior Vice President of Rotam’s Global Human Resources, considers the relocation as an essential part of Rotam’s talent development programme. “Employee development has a direct impact on the whole of the organisation, and supports our ambitious business growth plans. We strongly believe in the value of different cultural influences in taking Rotam forward on a global scale.”
Alok concludes, “Rotam is currently undergoing a period of incredible growth and development, and I’m confident that my prior business development expertise will play a part in promoting Rotam’s vision within this region.”
Prior to joining Rotam, Alok worked at Bharat Rasayan Limited as Manager for International Business and also a Senior Executive for International Business at United Phosphorus Limited.
