Syngenta Canada Inc. is pleased to formally announce the appointment of Chris Davison, a communications professional with more than 20 years of experience, as Head, Corporate Affairs for the Canadian organization.

"We are extremely pleased to add Chris to the Syngenta team,” states Jay Bradshaw, President, Syngenta Canada. “He brings a valuable set of skills to the organization, ones that are uniquely suited to furthering Syngenta priorities in areas including policy and advocacy, stakeholder relations and corporate social responsibility – all of which are fundamental to our ability to help advance Canadian agriculture.”

Chris assumes the leadership of all corporate affairs functions in Canada and also sits on the Corporate Affairs North America Leadership Team. He comes to Syngenta with a breadth of corporate affairs and communications capabilities, including extensive experience in agriculture in both the public and private sectors. Chris holds a Masters degree in Public Administration from Carleton University in Ottawa and a post-graduate certificate in Public Relations from Humber College in Toronto.

"Syngenta is uniquely and singularly focused on bringing plant potential to life,” says Davison. “I’m looking forward to supporting this vision and the strategic direction of Syngenta in Canada as we work to improve crop productivity, helping growers increase both the quality and quantity of their crops.”

Davison notes the imperative of producing more food from less land. “We must continue to provide our customers with the innovations, knowledge and strategies to support more efficient resource utilization and biodiversity conservation. Working with stakeholders throughout the agriculture value chain is essential to achieving these goals.”
