The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has proposed the continued registration of more pesticides provided that certain measures are taken to reduce risks to human health and the environment. The latest proposed decisions cover the herbicides, ethofumesate, hexazinone and naptalam, and the fungicides, metalaxyl and metalaxyl-M. All were based largely on US re-registration decisions, taking Canadian conditions into account.
