AgroPages-Aceto sales dropped 62% in Q1 of FY2012-Agricultural news

Aceto’s agrochemical sales decreased by 62.2% to $2.46 million in the three months ended September 30, 2011. Gross profit for this business has dropped by 39.6% to $134,000 in the first quarter of fiscal 2012. Gross margin for the quarter increased to 5.4% compared to the prior period gross margin of 3.4%. Sales decline is attributed to decrease in sales of glyphosate and lack of seasonal sales of sprout inhibitor products, which are utilized on potato crops.
