AgroPages-EU not to renew of cyclanilide-Agricultural news

EU decided not to renew the approval of the plant growth regulator, cyclanilide. Cyclanilide was included in Annex I to Council Directive 91/414/EEC for renewing, but no applications for the ai renewal were received until the deadline. Consequently, the approval of cyclanilide is not renewed. EU member states must withdraw products containing cyclanilide by 31 October 2012, and use of existing stocks allowed by 31 October 2013.
