First half of 2024 China saw 67 new registrations of rice insecticides, being mostly chlorantraniliprole, emamectin benzoate and indoxacarbqrcode

According to China’s ICAMA pesticide registration information, in the first half of 2024, 67 new insecticides were granted registration for application to rice in China, which include 41 mixtures and 26 single agents, being much diversified in the category, formulation type, active ingredient and object of control.


There are seven types of formulations, with the largest number of SC formulations, up to 51, while registrations also include SL and ME formulations, as shown in the figure below:

Regarding active ingredient registrations, there are 42 chlorantraniliprole registrations, followed by emamectin benzoate and indoxacarb, with fewer registrations of nitenpyram, ethiprole and isoprocarb, as shown in the figure below:

Concerning the rice-oriented product registrations, the rice leaf folder-targeted registrations are of the largest number, followed by registrations against the rice stem borer and rice planthoppers, for which a certain number of registrations are granted, as shown in the figure below:
