″The establishment of a biological products organization in Brazil underscores the country's importance in our global strategy,″ said Bénédicte Flambard, Vice President of Global Plant Health.

″Our goal is to improve field support through deeper engagement with Brazilian growers while building stronger relationships with channel partners,″ she added.

Frateschi brings nearly three decades of experience in agribusiness to his new role, leading the Crop Protection business in Latin America. Recently, in the United States, he served as business director at Micropep, a company that develops the next generation of biological solutions. He will lead FMC’s biological products business in Latin America and implement the company’s strategic plan to expand its product portfolio in the rapidly growing Brazilian market.

Antolini joins FMC from Agrivalle, a Brazilian agricultural biological products company, and will report directly to Frateschi. According to FMC, his experience in crop protection, biological and nutritional solutions, will be necessary to develop the company's global biological strategy. According to them, this operation is aligned with the national market needs to provide growth, profitability, and the introduction of new products.

″Alexandre and Leonardo are highly respected leaders in the crop protection industry in Brazil,″ Flambard added. They said, ″Their experiences and visions will expand our biological business, strengthen our relationships with growers, and accelerate the introduction of Brazil’s new biological products.″

Recently, the biofungicides Ataplan (Bacillus velezensis CEPA RTI301 + Bacillus subtilis CEPA RTI477) and Provilar (Bacillus velezensis CEPA RTI301 + Bacillus subtilis CEPA RTI477) were launched.

Frateschi and Antolini will be based at the company’s regional headquarters in Latin America, in the city of Campinas, in the Brazilian state of São Paulo.
