Syngenta’s Palladium Fungicide receives California registration for ornamentals

Syngenta recently announced that Palladium foliar fungicide (active ingredients: cyprodinil + fludioxonil) has been granted registration in California for use on ornamental crops. Palladium combines two active ingredients to provide contact and systemic activity on a wide range of foliar and stem diseases.

"California is a hotspot for ornamental production, and Syngenta is glad to bring Palladium to market there,” said Scott Lawson, marketing manager for Syngenta Plant Protection. “It offers greenhouse and nursery growers an excellent tool to control some of the most damaging diseases they encounter, such as powdery mildew, Botrytis, leafspot, Rhizoctonia and many others.”

Palladium contains the active ingredient cyprodinil, which is new to the ornamental industry and the only active ingredient in its class, making it an ideal rotational product for resistance management. Growers can use Palladium for preventative and curative disease control and can expect seven to 14 days of residual control.
