McLaughlin Gormley King Company (MGK) has sold its Turbocide Pest Control System, which includes Turbocide Gold, to Chem-Tech, of Des Moines, Iowa. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Chem-Tech, a manufacturer of quality insecticides since 1979, had been managing this venture prior the purchase. This transaction makes Chem-Tech the largest formulator of pressurized “stored food” products in the country. The patented Turbocide technology is a unique aerosol application system that incorporates carbon dioxide to dissolve, propel and dispense insecticides to control flying and crawling insects.

Chem-Tech will continue to partner with the Industrial Fumigant Company (IFC) to exclusively distribute and market this line of products. IFC, based in Lenexa, KS, specializes in providing comprehensive pest management products and services for the food and commodity industry.
