The Pesticide Stewardship Alliance (TPSA) recently elected the board of directors for 2024, including officers and four members to serve on the board.

Elected to serve as officers of TPSA for the 2023 year were:


President Jennifer Thomasen, Bayer Crop Science; Vice President Nicole Jansen, Corteva Agriscience; Secretary Rick Anderson, Bayer Crop Science and Treasurer Wendy Sue Wheeler, Washington State University.


Elected to the board of directors were Brian Clark, Schuetz Container System, as the container management representative; Jack Ranney, Waste Options Southwest, LLC, as the waste management representative; Stephanie A. Smith, Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets, to represent environment/public health; and Kerrie Ihnen, BASF, as the pesticide industry representative. Each will serve a two-year term.


Continuing to serve on the board are Jimmy Hughes, Delaware Department of Agriculture, as the government representative; Bob Mann, National Association of Landscape Professionals, as the end user representative; Michelle Wiesbrook, University of Illinois PSEP, as the institution representative; and Glenn Magley, Heritage Environmental, as the at-large representative.


Serving as ex-officio members of the board are Thomas Lopiano, US EPA/Office of Pesticide Programs; and Bonnie McCarvel, TPSA Operations Manager.


The Pesticide Stewardship Alliance (TPSA), founded in 2000, is an organization of federal, state and local governmental agencies, educational and research institutions, public organizations, private corporations and individuals that are actively involved in different aspects of pesticide stewardship. The goals of TPSA are to increase the effectiveness, efficiency and longevity of various pesticide stewardship efforts. Check the TPSA web site for more information. The 2025 Pesticide Stewardship Conference is scheduled for February 4-6 in Charleston, South Carolina.
