Dutch seed coating company INCOTEC and TJ Technologies Inc. announced that they have come to an agreement in which INCOTEC will utilize the science behind TJ Technologies' branded product, TJ QuickRoots® in combinations with INCOTEC innovative seed coatings and enhancement technologies to market the TJ QuickRoots technology to the global seed market.

INCOTEC will have exclusive marketing rights to the TJ QuickRoots products internationally to the vegetable, ornamental and large seed markets. TJ Technologies will retain North American marketing rights for the products specifically designed for large-seeded field crops.

TJ QuickRoots, launched in 2004, is a foundational, microbial, seed inoculant proven in field trials to increase plant and seed yield. The patented, microbial actives in TJ QuickRoots facilitate a novel enzymatic process which releases soil nutrients from the soil profile, thereby significantly increasing seedling vigor, root volume, and fine root hairs, resulting in increased yields.

INCOTEC's sophisticated seed coating technologies are extremely well suited to act as carriers of all type of actives. Incorporating this with TJ Technologies' proven microbial actives utilized by TJ QuickRoots will further strengthen the unique combinations INCOTEC is building within its active platform to enhance seed and to increase crop yield.

TJ Technologies Inc., based in the U.S. is a leading developer of microbial technologies for agriculture that are designed to consistently increase plant yield and maximize the soil's productivity for optimal efficiency and profitability for growers.

INCOTEC, based in the Netherlands, is a global market leader in seed enhancements which provides a comprehensive range of seed treatments, technologies and services for field crops, turf, forages, vegetables, ornamentals and other genetic starting material.

The first product resulting from this joint effort is expected to be available in 2012.

"We are very excited to establish this global partnership," said Tom Johnson, President of TJ Technologies. "Our technology will now have a platform for greater reach and global impact on agriculture. We look forward to working with the INCOTEC team to provide truly innovative products to the international seed industry, and ultimately provide farmers and growers new tools to do what they do best—provide food, fiber and fuel for the world."

JanWillem Breukink, CEO of the INCOTEC Group BV added, "We are very pleased with this new partnership with TJ Technologies. One of our main areas of focus is the stacking of multiple actives creating unique product combinations to enhance the quality and yield of crops under conditions that are not always optimal. We believe that TJ QuickRoots is an innovative active that fits very well in our active platform."
