Canada to convert conditional approvals

The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) proposes converting conditional approvals for Dow AgroSciences’ herbicide, FirstRate (cloransulam-methyl 84%), and Syngenta’s fungicide, Allegro 500 F (Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha’s fluazinam 500 g/litre), to full registrations. The PMRA approved FirstRate for broadleaf weed control in soybeans in 2001. Allegro was registered for the control of late blight (Phytophthora infestans) on potatoes in 2003.
