Syngenta launches CERTANO bionematicide for sugarcane at 19th Insectshow 2023 & Bioinsumosqrcode

图片.pngSyngenta Biologicals presented its new biological nematicide CERTANO (Bacillus velezensis isolate CNPSo 3602) to the Brazilian market during the 19th Insectshow & Bioinsumos, which had special coverage by AgroPages.

According to the manufacturer, CERTANO is a microbiological bionematicide with a broad spectrum of action, which can be used in all phases of cultivation, offering the sugarcane grower an ″efficient control of nematodes, with greater practicality of use, from planting to ratoons, at all times of the year.″

According to him, CERTANO is ″Syngenta's first biological product for sugarcane with a 3 in 1 action, bionematicide, biofungicide, and growth-promoting action.″

″It offers consistent control with immediate and prolonged effects, in addition to physical and chemical compatibility in association with other products, to boost the productivity and longevity of the cane field,″ Pirola added.

With a Concentrated Suspension (SC) formulation, CERTANO is also registered in Brazil as a fungicide.

The new solution from Syngenta Biologicals is recommended to be applied by the Seed Treatment (TS) technique.

On the first day of the event, Pirola presented the results achieved by CERTANO, supported by the Cropwise Imagery digital technology, in addition to reinforcing the care needed to control nematodes and the importance of digital technologies and biocontrol solutions to solve this problem.

Afterward, a lecture on efficiency in the sugarcane field was delivered by Matheus Kalil, responsible for the technical development of the market at Syngenta Digital.

Among the main themes, the use of technology to optimize the operation and reduce costs will be addressed and linked to the crop routing functionality to bring better results to the farmer, enabling the optimization of time and staff, fuel reduction, and increased operational efficiency.

TECHNOLOGY

During the 19th Insectshow & Bioinsumos, Syngenta also launched new digital tools that help producers fight soil pests and monitor moths.

The innovations developed to solve common problems within crops are included in Cropwise, the digital agriculture platform of Syngenta Digital, the company's digital solutions arm.

This is the case of soil pest routing, a feature that optimizes the time and distance the field team covers by creating an automatic monitoring route.

The solution prioritizes the highest risk areas and considers the distance between the points to suggest a direction plan, bringing efficiency to the operation.

Since the last harvest, producers have relied on drill routing, which has shown excellent results, such as that of a client plant that reduced the daily monitoring route by three times.

Larissa Vieira.jpegThe automatic counting of moths uses Artificial Intelligence to count them inside a trap. This ensures data reliability and increases the speed of pest monitoring, bringing more efficiency to field technicians.

″Plant managers deal with a lot of data at the same time, several teams with different scopes and several threats in the field ready to harm the sugarcane field. Therefore, making intelligent, efficient, and timely decisions is essential. Our solution brings more agility with reliable and accessible information, georeferenced data available offline for fast and secure information management,″ highlighted Larissa Vieira, Sales and Relationship Manager at Syngenta Digital.
