Vitales.pngUby Agro Holding revealed to AgroPages its entry into the bioinputs market with the creation of a company of biological pesticides for agriculture – Vitales.

With an investment of BRL100 million (US$20 million), the new factory will be based in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.

The Vitales unit will include solid and liquid fermentation a structure, a quality and innovation laboratory, an inventory, and a complete administrative structure.

Vitales' first product line is called GRATTO and offers ten products for the sugarcane, soy, corn, coffee, and pasture markets.

According to Uby Agro, they are ″highly effective products for integrated pest management (IPM)″.

″Combining innovation, science, and sustainability, the solutions were created to bring the producer the maximum return on investment when it comes to plant protection,″ the company said.

Uby Agro debuts its performance in offering biological products with an eye on the segment that is expected to reach the mark of $11.1 billion by 2025, according to IHS Markit.

Fabrício Simões, president of Holding Uby Agro, states,″in addition to our know-how, we want to provide Vitales' customers with a successful experience in the use of biological products.″

″Through a well-prepared sales team, we want to act as consultants providing information that supports the use of our products, with a focus on results and productivity,″ he assessed.

With Vitales, the holding expected to be among the country’s five largest biological pesticide players in the country by 2030.

He remembered that this segment grew 40% a year in Brazil alone and, even so, with great potential for expansion.

″To reach this level, our bet is the differential with which the company enters the market since it was born with great strategic knowledge supported by the baggage of one of the main plant nutrition companies in Brazil,″ the executive added.

He pointed out that the launch of Vitales is yet another effort by the Uby Agro Group within the strategy of investing and contributing to more sustainable practices in agribusiness.

According to information from CropLife Brasil, the use of biological pesticides can result in between 60% and 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions per hectare per year.

The Holding Uby Agro brings together the companies Ubyfol, Ubycover, Allas Soluções Logísticas, and MoonHub.
