Leading agriculture company Syngenta has reaffirmed its dedication to the Australian vegetable industry by continuing its Lead Strategic Partnership with AUSVEG, which will strengthen links throughout the supply-chain and facilitate closer collaboration on research and development initiatives that ultimately benefit growers and the broader industry.

The ongoing partnership between the world-leading crop protection company and the grower representative body helps ensure Australian vegetable growers can increase their awareness of valuable information and products that can help them effectively manage their crops and their businesses.

AUSVEG CEO Michael Coote said the two companies continue to share the common goal of helping growers’ businesses by improving crop health to boost their productivity.

″Syngenta is a valued supporter of the Australian vegetable industry and continues to be a leader in the development of effective crop protection products that help our growers get food from the farm to Australian and international consumers,″ said Mr Coote.

″This partnership fosters collaboration and access to industry-leading technology and innovations that help promote the growth and development of the vegetable industry and the many businesses that grow vegetables across the country.″

Syngenta Managing Director, Australia & New Zealand Paul Luxton said that having constructive partnerships with grower organisations such as AUSVEG was a win-win for the company and the industry more broadly.

″Syngenta is pleased to extend its Lead Strategic Partnership with AUSVEG, as it is a key platform to engage with the broader vegetable industry to ensure we better understand industry’s needs and continue to encourage best practice use of our products,″ said Mr Luxton.

″We are also proud to continue supporting AUSVEG in celebrating the industry’s leading growers in the Australian horticulture industry through our sponsorship of the annual Syngenta Grower of the Year Award presented at Hort Connections, as we believe highlighting the champions of our industry is critical to the ongoing development of the broader sector.″
